IORA Concludes First-Ever Leaders’ Summit

For the first time, leaders of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) met in Jakarta, Indonesia, for a summit. The meeting began on March 5 and ended on March 7, 2017.

Theme of the Conference: “Strengthening Maritime Cooperation for a Peaceful, Stable and Prosperous Indian Ocean”. India was represented by the then vice president, Hamid Ansari.
