Hindi film Director Karan Johar became father of twins through commercial surrogacy. He may be among the last few single Indians who could commission surrogacy within the legal ambit. His twins are borne seven months after the Union Cabinet passed, and three months after the Lok Sabha saw the introduction of a bill that forbids commercial surrogacy.
