- The University Grants Commission (UGC) has developed life skills (Jeevan Kaushal) curriculum for undergraduate students at Universities and Colleges. This Curriculum covers the courses on communication skills, professional skills, leadership & management skills and universal human values. The life skills curriculum is available at UGC website itself.
- The UGC has informed that the total estimated amount towards curriculum development and skill training in Universities and Colleges under the programme is Rs. 230.16 crores.
- The Jeevan Kaushal curriculum is suggestive in nature.
- Universities being autonomous bodies, the Vice-Chancellors have been requested by the UGC to consider the curriculum for introduction in their Universities and affiliated Colleges/institutions, at under-graduate level.
