India’s Engagement In G20

ANSWER

(a & b) The theme of India’s G20 Presidency – “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or “One Earth. One Family. One Future” affirms the value of all life and its interconnectedness on the planet Earth and in the wider universe. The theme also conveys a message of striving for just and equitable growth for all in the world, and represents a uniquely Indian approach to our G20Presidency, of living in harmony with the nature.

Substantive deliberations during India’s ongoing G20 Presidency comprise broad priority areas of interest to us, including inclusive and resilient growth; progress on SDGs, green development and Lifestyle for Environment (Mission LiFE); technological transformation and public digital infrastructure; reforming multilateral institutions; women led development; and international peace and harmony. In addition, we are emphasizing the importance of adequate international finance and technological support, as critical enablers, for achieving SDGs, climate goals and sustainable energy transitions. We are also amplifying the voice and concerns of the Global South and developing countries.
