Services play a pivotal role in connecting countries to the global economy, including by enhancing trade in goods. The services sector is an important contributor to economic growth, employment and financial inclusion.
The Economic Survey 2023-2024, tabled in Parliament on 22nd July, 2024, highlighted that the services sector continues to be a significant contributor to India’s growth, accounting for about 55 per cent of the total size of the economy in Financial Year 2024 (FY24).
