Asia's First Health Research-related Pre-Clinical Network Facility
On 16th July, 2024, Union Minister inaugurated Asia's first health research-related "Pre-clinical Network Facility" under the Coalition of Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI).
- CEPI selected the Faridabad-based Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council – Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (BRIC-THSTI) as a pre-clinical network laboratory based on its capability to handle the Biosafety Level-3 (BSL-3) pathogens.

- Global Network: This facility becomes the 9th pre-clinical network laboratory globally, joining others in the USA, Europe, and Australia.
- Experimental Animal Facility: The facility includes one of the largest small animal facilities in India, capable of housing around 75,000 mice, including immune-compromised species.
