India’s First Police Drone Unit

  • The Greater Chennai City Police (GCP) has launched ‘Police Drone Unit’ for aerial surveillance over vast areas and quick detection of criminal activities.
  • The use of drones in law enforcement will provide the police with an additional tool to monitor and secure large areas more efficiently.
  • The drones equipped with advanced surveillance technology will aid in identifying potential threats, monitoring crowd gatherings, and assisting in traffic management.
