Issue of High Unemployment in india

Recent data released by Labour Ministry shows 6.1 percent unemployment rate in India. It was based on periodic labour force survey (PLFS) from July 2017 to June 2018 and claimed joblessness at a 45-year high. As last National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO) employment-unemployment surveys (EUS) was held in 2011, Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) had been started as a 2 year pilot project with a primary aim to generate reasonably accurate indicators of labour market at a short span of every quarter, from April 2017 to April 2019.
