Earthquakes are vibrations of the Earth, caused by the rupture and sudden movement of rocks that have been strained beyond their elastic limits.
- In other words, Earthquake is a series of shocks and tremors resulting from the sudden release of pressure along active faults and in areas of volcanic activity.
