National Conference on NCAP
- The National Conference on National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) was held from 11-13 March 2025, in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
- The conference aimed at addressing air pollution and environmental issues, and discussing strategies for cleaner air in urban areas.
- UP Chief Minister emphasised environmental protection and reducing carbon emissions to meet the Net Zero target by 2070.
- Highlighted efforts since 2017 to replace 17 lakh halogen street lights with LED lights, saving Rs 1000 crore and reducing energy consumption.
