- Total Annual Groundwater Recharge (2024): 446.90 BCM
- Extractable Groundwater: 406.19 BCM
- Annual Groundwater Extraction: 245.64 BCM
- Increase in Recharge: 15 BCM from 2017 to 2024
- Decline in Extraction: 3 BCM from 2017 to 2024
Progress in Groundwater Recharge
- Recharge from Tanks, Ponds & Water Control Systems (WCS) has consistently increased over the last five assessments:
- Increase in 2024: 0.39 BCM compared to 2023
- Increase from 2017: 11.36 BCM (from 13.98 BCM in 2017 to 25.34 BCM in 2024)
- Improvement in Safe Category Units
- 73.4% of Assessment Units in the Safe Category (up from 62.6% in 2017)
- Over-Exploited Units decreased from 17.24% in 2017 to 11.13% ....
