The current population of India is 1.28 billion people accounting for more than 17.5% of world’s population. India’s energy challenge is of fundamental importance. In the last six decades, India’s energy use has increased 16 times and the installed electricity capacity by 84 times. Overall generation in the country has been increased from 967.150 BU during 2013-14 to 1048.673 BU during the year 2014-15.
