Government Initiatives to reduce School Dropout Rate
- Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan: This scheme has been implemented as per RTE Act standards to boost children's enrolment and retention, with tailored interventions for SC/ST students and a comprehensive strategy to reduce dropout rates. This includes improving school infrastructure, providing residential hostels in areas without schools, hiring more teachers, training them regularly, and offering free textbooks and uniforms.
- Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya: This scheme establishes residential upper primary schools for girls from SCs, STs, OBCs, and Minority communities.
