National Credit Framework
On 10th April, 2023, the University Grants Commission (UGC) released the final draft of the National Credit Framework (NCrF) for school education and higher education.
About NCrF
- It has been jointly developed by UGC, AICTE, NCVET, NIOS, CBSE, NCERT, Ministry of Education, DGT, and Ministry of Skill Development to achieve this vision and intent of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Salient Features
Meta Framework
NCrF is a meta-framework that consists of three verticals:
- National School Education Qualification Framework (NSEQF),
- National Higher Education Qualification Framework (NHEQF), and
- National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).
