ESA’s Juice Mission

On April 14, 2023, the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (Juice) was successfully launched from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana.

  • The launch vehicle for Juice is the Ariane 5 launcher, and it will take over six years to reach the Jupiter system.
  • The mission is expected to last for at least three and a half years once it arrives in the Jupiter system.
