Mangaluru Narrow-Mouthed Frog
- A narrow-mouthed frog has been found in a small industrial region in coastal Karnataka. It has been described by a team of Indian scientists in the international journal Zootaxa.
- It has been given the name Microhyla kodial after the city of Mangaluru (called kodial in the Konkani language) where it was spotted.
- The new frog species is greyish-brown in color and is just 2 cm long. It has a thick olive-green band on its head and less-prominent dark green bands on the rest of its body.
