Should Health be brought under Concurrent List

Like in most federal countries in the world, healthcare in India is listed as a State subject --- meaning that states are the primary agents tasked to deliver health-related services.

  • Under this arrangement, States are not vested with adequate financial powers to meet their expenditure responsibilities.
