USA Joins International Solar Alliance
Recently, the United States of America Joined the International Solar Alliance (ISA). The US became the 101st member country of the alliance.
Implications of the US Joining ISA
- It demonstrates that nations across the world are recognising the economic and climate mitigating value of solar, as well as this energy source’s potential as a catalyst for global energy transition.
- A big boost to accelerate global adoption of solar energy, it will be particularly important for developing countries.
- It will motivate many other countries to join the ISA.
- It will also ensure ISA’s financial sustainability and strengthen its position.
