​Ganges River Dolphin Tagged for the First Time

On 18th December 2024, a Ganges River dolphin (Platanista gangetica) was tagged for the first time, marking a historic achievement in India’s efforts to conserve its National Aquatic Animal. This is the first tagging, not only in India, but also for the species.
