On 12th December 2024, the Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas submitted the First Report on Demands for Grants (2024-25) of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas in the Lok Sabha.

Need to Streamline Budget Making Process
- Observations: The Committee noted that the total allocation of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas in Budget Estimates (BE) 2024-25 is Rs. 15930.26 cr. as against Rs. 41007.72 cr.
- It noted that there have been wide variations in Budget Estimates (BE), Revised Estimates (RE) and Actual Expenditure of the last three financial years of the Ministry. ....
