Domestic Systemically Important Banks
On 2nd January, 2023, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released 2022 list of Domestic Systemically Important Banks (D-SIBs).
State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, and HDFC Bank has again been named as Domestic Systemically Important Banks (D-SIBs) by RBI in 2022 list.
About D-SIBs
- These are also referred to as “Too Big To Fall” (TBTF) because of their size, cross jurisdictional activities, complexity and lack of substitute and interconnection.

- The RBI had issued the Framework for dealing with Domestic Systemically Important Banks (D-SIBs) on July 22, 2014.
