Rani Velu Nachiyar
- On 3 January 2022 the birth anniversary of Rani Velu Nachiyar was observed.
- She was born on 3 January 1730 at Ramanathapuram, Kingdom of Sivaganga (Modern day Tamil Nadu).
- Rani Velu Nachiyar was a queen of Sivaganga estate from c. 1780–1790.
- She was the first Indian queen to wage war with the East India Company in India.
- She is known by Tamils as Veeramangai ("brave woman").
- She belonged to Sethupathi ....
