Justice D.Y. Chandrachud
- Justice Dhananjaya Yashwant Chandrachud has been appointed as the 50th Chief Justice of India.
- He succeeded Justice Uday Umesh Lalit. Justice Chandrachud’s appointment came into effect from the 9th of November 2022.
- While Justice Lalit had a tenure of 74 days, Justice Chandrachud will serve as the CJI for two years.
