​PM Releases 17th Instalment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi

On 10th June, 2024, the Prime Minister released the seventeenth instalment of PM Kisan Nidhi soon after taking office.

PM- KISAN

  • Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a Central Sector Scheme providing Rs. 6000 annually to cultivable landholding farmer families in three equal instalments directly into Aadhaar seeded bank accounts.
  • The scheme utilizes a farmer-centric digital infrastructure to ensure direct benefit transfer, eliminating middlemen and ensuring transparency.
  • The Government of India has disbursed over Rs. 2.60 lakh crores to more than 11 crore farmers since the scheme's inception.
