Hope Mission
- On 9 February 2021, the United Arab Emirates became the first Arab country and the fifth country to reach Mars and the second country to successfully enter Mars’ orbit on its first try (India being the first with its 2014 Mars Orbiter Mission).
- The Arab world’s first mission to Mars called Amal (Hope) is the UAE’s fourth space mission and first interplanetary mission.
- UAE spacecraft Amal (Hope) was launched on 19 July 2020, and reached Mars on 9 February 2021.
