Government Extends PM-AASHA Scheme
On 17th February 2025, the Government of India approved the continuation of the Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA) Scheme during the 15th Finance Commission Cycle up to 2025-26.
- This move aims to provide remunerative prices to farmers and control price volatility of essential commodities.
100% Procurement of Pulses for the Next Four Years
- The Government has announced the procurement of Tur (Arhar), Urad, and Masur up to 100% of the State’s production under the Price Support Scheme (PSS).
- The initiative aims to reduce import dependency and boost domestic production of pulses.
