NAM Ministerial Meeting Held in Caracas, Venezuela
The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) ministerial meeting was held on 22 July, 2019 in Caracas, Venezuela which was attended by 120 member nations as well as 7 observer countries, 10 multilateral international organisations including the United Nations (UN).
- India was represented by its Permanent Representative to the UN.
- The meeting condemned US’ sanctions on Venezuela and called for the construction of a multipolar world.
- In the meeting Pakistan raked up the issue of Kashmir and made references to the recent UN Human Rights report on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
