NCRB Report: ‘Crime in India’ 2019
The National Crime Record Bureau's ‘Crime in India’ 2019 report was released on 29th September 2020.The NCRB also released the annual report on Accidental Deaths and Suicides in India (ADSI) for the year 2019.
Key Findings of the Reports
- Crimes against Women: Crimes against women increased 7.3 per cent from 2018 to 2019. The highest rate of crime against women was reported by Assam at 177.8 (per lakh population), followed by Rajasthan (110.4) and Haryana (108.5).
- Rape: On an average, 87 rape cases were reported daily. The highest number of rapes were reported by Rajasthan with 5,997 cases, followed ....
