Rural Development
- Rural Connectivity: The Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana launched in 2000 aims to provide funds to States to construct rural roads to connect villages by all-weather roads. Since 2014, around 190,000 km of rural roads has been constructed. The rate of rural road construction, i.e. kms of rural road constructed per day, there is an increased momentum from 2015-16 onwards.
- Some of the better performing states are Maharasthra, Assam, Uttar Pradesh & Odisha. Whereas on the other end, we have Mizoram, Sikkim, Goa & ....
