ISRO Launches Radar Imaging Observation Satellite RISAT-2B
- On May 22nd, a PSLV rocket of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) placed RISAT-2B, an X-band microwave Earth Observation Satellite, into orbit 556 km above earth.
Milestones of ISRO
- It will be ISRO’s 72ndlaunch vehicle mission from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota.
- It will be 48thflight of PSLV.
- It will be 36th launch from first launch pad.
- For ISRO, it will be 14th flight of PSLV in ‘core alone’ configuration.
- It will be 3rd launch of the year 2019.
