Daily Nutrient Intake
- The third round of the National Nutrition Monitoring Bureau (NNMB) survey completed in 2008-09 found that the mean intake of most foodstuffs and nutrients by tribal people continued to be below the Recommended Daily Allowances (RDA) by the Indian Council of Medical Research and had in fact reduced over the years, across all age groups and for both genders. This is worrisome and maybe indicative of a rising food insecurity or a change in dietary habits.
