Earth Observation Satellite: EOS-01
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced that it will launch its earth observation satellite (EOS-01) and nine international customer spacecraft from the spaceport of Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh on November 7.
- It will be the first launch by the ISRO since the coronavirus induced lockdown came into effect in March 2020.
EOS-01
- India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle in its 51st mission (PSLV-C49), will launch EOS-01 as primary satellite along with nine international customer satellites from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota.
- It is an earth observation satellite intended for applications in agriculture, forestry and disaster management support.
