Noble Prize in Chemistry
The Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2020 was awarded jointly to Emmanuelle Charpentier and Jennifer A. Doudnafor the development of a method for genome editing. They developed one of gene technology’s sharpest tools: the CRISPR/Cas9(Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats) genetic scissors.
