SAGE Initiative
On 4th June, 2021, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment launched the SAGE (Seniorcare Aging Growth Engine) initiative and SAGE portal for elderly persons.
Background
- The SAGE project is shaped on the recommendations of the empowered expert committee report on startups for elderly.
- The report highlights that the business opportunities in this space could emerge from impact-focused enterprises technology start-ups, legal and financial services and infrastructure and managed care systems.
