India Joins OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework Tax Deal

  • On 2nd July, 2021, India joined the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the G20 inclusive framework tax deal that is working towards addressing the tax challenges arising from the digitalisation of the economies globally.
  • A total of 130 countries have agreed to an overhaul of global tax norms to ensure that multinationals pay taxes wherever they operate and at a minimum 15% rate.
