Cabinet approves Pesticide Management Bill – 2020
- On 12th February, 2020, the Union Cabinet approved the Pesticides Management Bill, 2020, which seeks to replace the Insecticides Act, 1968, for regulating the pesticide sector by fixing prices and setting up an authority. Its objective is to regulate the business of pesticides and to promote the use of organic pesticides in the country.
