Why is it in News?

A joint military exercise between India and Bangladesh - ‘Sampriti 2019’ was conducted recently in Bangladesh.

About Sampriti:

It is a bilateral defence cooperation exercise between India and Bangladesh. This was the 8^th edition of the military exercise which is held alternately by both the countries.

Objective of Exercise:

It aims to exchange the best practices while dealing with Insurgency & Counter Terrorism Operation.
