India-EU to Hold Strategic Foreign Policy Dialogue

On 10th December 2024, India’s External Affairs Minister and EU High Representative agreed to hold the first-ever ministerial strategic foreign policy dialogue to address geopolitical challenges, including Chinese activities in the Indo-Pacific.

- India-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC):
- Established in February 2023, TTC has three working groups on strategic technologies, green energy, and trade.
- Facilitates exchange of critical technologies, including AI, quantum computing, and semiconductors.
- Indo-Pacific Cooperation: India and the EU aim to ensure a free, open, and rules-based maritime order, demonstrated by joint naval exercises like those between EU Naval Force (EUNAVFOR) and INS Visakhapatnam.
