India Launches AI Security Certification Programme

On 23rd September 2024, the first-ever AI security certification programme in India, accredited by the American National Standards Institute, was launched in Bengaluru to equip professionals with skills to secure AI applications.

The AI security certification programme, Certified Security Professional for Artificial Intelligence (CSPAI), was launched under a partnership between CERT-In, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, and cybersecurity firm SISA.
The certification programme is the first in India to be accredited by the American National Standards Institute’s National Accreditation Board (ANAB).
The CSPAI programme aims to provide security professionals with the expertise required to secure AI systems while ensuring they are integrated responsibly into business applications.
The programme’s first batch of AI security professionals received their ANAB-accredited certifications at the launch event, highlighting the initiative’s swift implementation.
The certification is expected to open up opportunities in AI-related roles, emphasizing the demand for AI security expertise in various sectors.
