BHASKAR: Boosting India’s Startup Ecosystem

On 16th September, 2024, Union Commerce and Industry Minister launched BHASKAR, an interactive online platform, aimed at enhancing India's already booming startup ecosystem.

Key Points

BHASKAR Launch: The Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry (BHASKAR) will be launched on Monday to streamline collaboration and centralize resources among key stakeholders like startups, investors, mentors, and service providers.
Key Features: BHASKAR will offer personalised IDs for every stakeholder, enabling networking, collaboration, and resource discovery.
It will also facilitate cross-border partnerships, promoting India's global reputation as a hub for innovation.
Government’s Commitment: The initiative reflects the government's dedication to strengthening the startup ecosystem, with over 1.46 lakh registered startups and 110 unicorns contributing to India's growing influence in global entrepreneurship.
Startup India Success: Launched in 2016, the Startup India initiative has helped propel India to the third-largest startup ecosystem globally, supporting over 12 lakh jobs and contributing to the country’s innovation-driven economic growth.
