On June 22nd , 2024, K. Radhakrishnan, the former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman has been appointed to head the high-level committee of experts to ensure transparent, smooth and fair conduct of examinations.

  • He served as the Chairman of Space Commission and Secretary, Department of Space, Government of India as well as the Chairman of ISRO Council (Chairman, ISRO) in 2009.
  • He served a stint of five years (2000-05) at the Ministry of Earth Sciences as Founding Director of Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS).
  • He became the Regional coordinator in Indian Ocean for International Argo profiling float Project and later the first Project Director of the India’s Tsunami Early Warning System.
  • He was Vice Chairman of Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO (2001-05).
  • He has been bestowed with ‘Padma Bhushan’, the third-highest civilian award in India in 2014.
  • He was Chairman, BOM of Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology (IIST) at Thiruvananthapuram (2009-14) and Chairman of BOG of IIEST at Shibpur (2014-17).
  • His biography, “My Odyssey: Memoirs of the Man behind the Mangalyaan Mission”, co-authored with Nilanjan Routh, was published in 2016.
