US Announces USD 1.5 billion Aid for Ukraine

On 15th June, 2024, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris announced more than USD 1.5 billion in aid for Ukraine’s energy sector and its humanitarian situation as a result of Russia’s 27-month invasion of Ukraine.

- The USD 1.5 billion package encompasses USD 500 million in new funding for energy assistance and reallocates USD 324 million from previously announced funds to address emergency energy infrastructure repairs and other needs in Ukraine.
- The State Department and the U.S. Agency for International Development will provide USD 379 million in humanitarian assistance to support refugees and those affected by the war.
- This funding cover food aid, health services, shelter, and water, sanitation, and hygiene services for millions of Ukrainians.
