DoT Initiative to Support MSMEs & Startups

On 5th June, 2024, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) called for a proposal for "Industry 4.0 a baseline Survey among MSMEs" that aligns with the broader vision of fostering digital transformation and preparing industries for the advent of 5G and 6G technologies.

Key Points

The survey aims to establish the foundation for a robust ecosystem that leverages the potential of artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, and the integration of 5G and 6G networks.
The 60-day survey will cover five sectors each in North and South India.
The survey is designed to uncover sector-specific needs across at least ten industries, recognizing the diverse nature of India's MSME landscape.
