Former INS President Naresh Mohan Passes Away

On 16th May, 2024, Naresh Mohan, a distinguished media veteran and former president of the Indian Newspaper Society (INS), passed away at the age of 82.

Naresh Mohan held prominent positions, including executive president at Hindustan Times, chairman at United News of India, and member of the Press Council of India.
Founded in 1939, INS serves as the central organization for newspapers in India, advocating for press freedom and industry standards.
Mohan's tenure as INS president from 1990 to 1991 followed the footsteps of notable predecessors RM Cama and Tuhin Kanti Ghosh.
His notable contributions to the print media industry and various leadership roles have left an indelible mark.
