On 12th May 2024, Nepali climber and guide Kami Rita Sherpa, known as the 'Everest Man', achieved a remarkable feat by climbing Mount Everest for the 29th time.

  • Sherpa, along with 28 climbers, embarked on the Spring Season Everest expedition from Kathmandu, breaking his own record.
  • Seven Summit Treks, where Sherpa works, congratulated him for his historic achievement, earning him the title of 'Most Successful Ascent of Mt. Everest by an Individual'.
  • Born in Thame village in Solukhumbu Nepal, Sherpa began his mountaineering journey in 1992 and completed his first ascent of Everest in 1994 at the age of 24.
  • Apart from Everest, Sherpa has conquered other prominent peaks including K2, Manaslu, Cho Oyu, and Lhotse, showcasing his exceptional mountaineering prowess.
  • According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Sherpa has scaled Everest nearly every year since his first climb, totaling 29 ascents to date.
