- Boosting Indigenous Defence Industry: The DAC grants Approval of Necessity for various capital acquisition proposals. This prioritizes procurement from Indian vendors and promoting self-reliance in defence production.
- Enhancing Operational Capabilities: Approvals include procurement of Anti-tank mines, Canister Launched Anti-Armour Loiter Munition System, Air Defence Tactical Control Radar, Medium Range Maritime Reconnaissance, and Multi-Mission Maritime Aircraft.
- Strengthening Naval Capabilities: AoN granted for procurement of Active Towed Array Sonar, Heavy Weight Torpedoes, and sustainment support for MH60R aircraft to bolster naval surveillance and attack capabilities.
- Expanding Air Force Reach: DAC approves procurement of Flight Refueller Aircraft to enhance the operational capabilities and reach of the Indian Air Force.
- Promoting Indigenous Technologies: Amendments in Defence Acquisition Procedure (DAP) 2020 aim to create a friendly defence start-up ecosystem.
